Centre for Indian diaspora inaugurated in Madagascar

The centre will host a variety of events and conduct tours from time to time, to help foster understanding of the history, role, accomplishments, and contributions of the Indian diaspora in Madagascar.

Madagascar’s Foreign Affairs Minister Richard Randriamandrato inaugurated a centre for the Indian diaspora named 'Indian Dhow' in the presence of Indian Ambassador Abhay Kumar and the Chairman of Vision Madagascar Zouzar Bouka in Antananarivo.

According to a statement released by the Indian Embassy in Madagascar, the Indian diaspora in Madagascar, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, and high officials of the Malagasy government, including Minister of Handicrafts Sophie Ratsiraka, were also present at the event on July 29, 2022.
