The British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, wished everyone a "Happy New Year" and underlined the earlier significant developments between India and the UK as the world prepared to ring in the new year. Ellis posted a video on Twitter in which he can be heard wishing people well, in Hindi. "It's been a great year for the UK and India. Much to do in 2023.! #HappyNewYear," he said.
In the video, the representative said "Namaste" to everyone and declared that "2022 was a great year for India and the UK." The UK envoy emphasized that India and the UK strengthened their bond in 2022 by cooperating in a number of areas, while speaking in Hindi.
