The city of Boston has a history of being home to world renowned educational institutes as well as an affluent crowd such as the Cabots, Lowells and more. Over the years the city’s demographic has grown both economically and in diversity, stringing a rise in a new generation of modern billionaires.
A recent survey by Wealth-X, identified 24 billionaires in a city of nearly 700,000, the wealth of these residents amounting to a net estimated value of $85 billion. A standout on this list is Niraj Shah, 48, the cofounder of Wayfair. He is the only Indian origin billionaire gracing the list.
