In view of the increase in passenger traffic, Batik Air, formerly Malindo, has announced an increase in the frequency of its Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur route from three days per week to four per week starting in the next month.

This is significant as the Malaysian Sikh community is said to be the fourth-largest ethnic group of Malaysian Indians with around 100,000 Sikhs residing in Malaysia.
