Asia’s biggest International Food and Hospitality Fair "Ahar-2023" began with global participation in Delhi on March 14, 2023. The 37 th edition of the four-day culinary show was home to 100 overseas participants from 18 countries including the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Chile, Peru and Russia.
The event held at Pragati Maidan, witnessed a huge footfall of food lovers and food ventures from small eateries to big hoteliers, who paid a visit to experience and source innovation in food technology and diversified food items from farm to home to facilitate good health with mesmerizing taste.

At the fair, New India Abroad's reporter interacted with a few participating companies and agencies from the US, Canada and India including the Poultry Export Council of the USA, Foreign Agriculture Service of the United State Department of Agriculture, Canada’s Friutdor and the UK based Dr Will’s.
The attendees were encouraged by the responses from food lovers and business ventures as they were able to ink deals to establish and expand their market presence in India.

Speaking about his experience, Canada-based River Valley’s international sales manager, Jeff Palmer told New India Abroad, “I would say my first trip to India has been very prosperous because our product is very close to importing in India. There is very positive energy for change that people want to take responsibility for their own health to have healthy products.”
During Ahar 2023, a jury with members from different countries judged the culinary skills of over 500 chefs at the event themed- Culinary Art India, which held competitions for plated appetizers, plated desserts and wedding cakes.
A flagship B2B event organized by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the premier trade promotion body of the Government of India, Ahar 2023 is a well-known destination for global vendors and sourcing professionals looking to venture into the Indian market.
