The US State Department has said that it is striving to shorten wait times for visas in a number of nations in response to complaints that the processing of some US visa classes is taking as long as 500 days in India and 300 in Turkey.
Aside from the US, other nations including the UK, Schengen nations, and Canada also have lengthy visa application and processing times.
