Arvind Raman is Dean of Purdue’s College of Engineering

As executive associate dean since December 2019, Raman has been in charge of initiatives that have improved the quality of academic programmes and faculty development.

Arvind Raman, a longtime administrator, professor, and alumnus of Purdue University, has been named as the new John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering on February 6, 2023.

According to Patrick Wolfe, Purdue provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity, Raman, who is currently the Robert V. Adams Professor in Mechanical Engineering and executive associate dean of engineering at the university, brings to the new position an impressive track record of academic leadership experience.
