Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the 2023 Australian of the Year awards in a ceremony at the National Arboretum in Canberra in the evening on Jan 25, 2023.
Amar Singh founder of the non-profit Turbans 4 Australia in 2015, was conferred with the 2023 Australian of the Year Local Hero award for his initiative of helping others irrespective of religion, culture or language barriers.
