Hi, I'm Dr. Ruwaa Samarrai. I'm a fellowship-trained Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon, and I know firsthand how complex the journey to becoming a doctor can be.
I graduated from the Rutgers–RWJMS 7-year BA/MD program and earned my MD when I was 23 years old.
Along the way, I discovered that most high-achieving premed students are not aware of the options that could accelerate their timeline and reduce unnecessary stress. The traditional path is not the only path.
I got my MD at 23 by implementing what I now teach as the Fast Track to MD system: multiple parallel acceleration pathways running simultaneously, each one a contingency for the others. That is why I created Fast Track to MD. My goal is to help high-achieving students channel their hard work efficiently, navigate every step from high school through medical school, and plan strategically for success without burning out. I have been where you are — figuring out AP courses, MCAT timing, and early assurance programs — so I understand the anxiety and uncertainty that comes with each decision.
I built this program to give you clarity, a roadmap, and practical tools to make your journey to becoming a doctor faster, smarter, and more intentional. I am here to guide you, share what I have learned, and help you take control of your future in medicine.
Even though gap years are common in the premed journey, they do not have to be the default. Your time is valuable as a future doctor. Learn how to protect it early.
Students who accelerate are different than those who do not in just one way, and it has nothing to do with GPA or MCAT scores. It simply depends on whether the student and their family had access to information early enough to act on it.
That information gap is the problem Fast Track to MD exists to solve. This newsletter, these resources, and these programs are the system I wish had existed when I was building my own application.
If you are just getting started, or if you are ready to execute your own plan, Fast Track Foundations and Fast Track Intensive give you the strategic mindset behind every acceleration pathway in one place.
And if you want to develop the clinical depth, research exposure, and physician communication skills that actually move applications forward, I would love to see you apply for the Clinical Scholars Grand Rounds Symposium.
Whichever door you walk through, I am glad you are here. Let's get you on the Fast Track.
