6 year old Indian origin boy in Singapore becomes youngest to trek to Everest base camp

The Singapore Book of Records presented a certificate to the preschooler, and stated he "managed well" despite the bad weather

A six-year-old boy of Indian descent has become the youngest Singaporean to finish the Everest base camp trek in Nepal, at an altitude of 5,364 meters, after a trek of 65km.

Om Madan Garg along with his parents trekked to the Everest Base Camp, walking 65km over 10 days covering an altitude gain of around 2,500m.

According to the Singapore Book of Records, Garg and his parents hiked for ten days in October, climbing from the settlement of Lukla at 2,860m to the base at 5,364m, a distance of about 2,500m.
