Ahead of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas Convention, the government of India revealed the list of recipients of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA), the highest honor for Indians living abroad. 27 recipients were named to list published on Jan. 2, 2023.
The President of India, Draupadi Murmu will award the PBSA to non-resident Indians(NRIs), people of Indian origin(PIOs) or organisations founded and maintained by NRIs or PIOs in appreciation of their exceptional performance in India and abroad.
The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention will take place from January 8–10 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The President will present the honors during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations' closing session.
